From Cardwell on the coast, I’d continued south to the inland town of Ingham. In the failing light and drizzle, at first it seemed drab. Depressing. Then spirits lifted by a brief stop. Small cafe. Run by Steve and Marina. Complementary coffee. Clear directions to a campsite a few kilometres south….
